Hola peeps!

I'm currently in Cambodia after crossing the border from Thailand on Wednesday, which was an experience in itself. Having managed to negotiate a taxi from the border to Siem Reap we were rear ended after about an hour on the road! No one was hurt, just some sore necks but we found out when we took our bags out the boot that they keep the fuel tanks in the back ahh!

In Siem Reap we visited the temples at Angkor Wat, all very pretty especially 'tampon' or Ta Prohm, where they filmed Tomb Raider. We had dinner in a restuarant called the 'Estatic Pizza', which was next to 'the Happy Herb Pizza', interesting pizza toppings, some people were very happy indeed after those pizzas! Then it was onto the 'Angkor What?' bar for a few beers, all very chilled.

I'm currently in Phnom Penh, the captial after a 6 hour bus journey from Siem Reap. We went to visit the S21 Genocide muesum today where the Khmer Rouge systematically tortured and killed thousands of people and then buried them in mass graves in the Choeung Ek killing fields. All very harrowing stuff especially the thousands of mug shots of some of the victims they have on display in the musuem together with photos of some of the methods of torture.

We're off to watch the sunset at one of the temples now, before checking out some of the bars and maybe the odd club or two?!
