Anna's travels......
Yesterday we arrived at Foz do Iguacu (Brazilian side of waterfalls) after a 25 hour bus journey. Beleive it or not the journey went quick and was comfortable. Lots of sleep, listening to music, finished my book and then planing some more travel roots.
Bumped into Andy on the coach, he had friends at our old hostel and also came along to the carnival with us. So that was another person to talk to (incase Gale started boring me!! haha only joking Gale).
By the end of the coach journey we had also made friends with Mitch, a guy from Oz, so we all got a taxi to the hotel in town.
The Hotel was nice. Bog standard but so much better than that hostel. Gale and I was jumping round our double room, with TV, air con and en suit, with joy. So nice to have this space after that small room in the other place.
We all headed out into town but it is like a ghost town. Really strange place. Noone about. But then as soon as it got to night there were cars driving around with their music pumping out!? It was like Maidstone on a friday night - haha. We found somewhere nice to eat and drink and just played cards (yes, the game s***head, whatelse).
Today we headed off to Cataratas do Iguaca (biggest waterfalls in the world) which was fantastic. There was waterfalls everywhere. It is hard to explain how amazing it was, but don't worry I took lots of photos and video. There is a picture on the right hand side of the view you get from the argentina side. Today we only saw the falls from the Brazilian side but tomorrow we are off to the Argentina side. We are also going to go on a boat trip under the falls - apparently you get soaked!
I still have lots more to put on my postcards from last week, I'll update soon.
