We left Wanaka late morning and made our way to Queenstown. When we arrived it was sunny and we looked for a nice campsite, I already had one in mind and then two people had also recommended it so it was set, we would camp for the night at Moke Lake, just 11km outside of Queenstown. We went straight to the campsite as it was late afternoon, and it was supposed to be a nice spot with walking tracks. We made our way down a very long gravel road which took us through the valley past other lakes and beautiful spots, we finally arrived and it was gorgeous. Such a pretty spot, next to a large lake with mountain views and horses nearby. We picked a spot and chilled on the grass near the lake. That morning we got up and went straight into Queenstown, we decided to spend the whole day there and camp again at another DOC campsite just outside of Queenstown. It was a cold gloomy day but we spent it walking around the centre and trying to find a warm hoody for myself, (I hadn't prepared for cold weather). After a full day moseying around the town we treated ourselves to some fish and chips before heading back to the camper. We stayed at 12 Mile Delta DOC campsite that night, it wasnt as nice as Moke Lake, but a little easier to get to. We was going to head to Te Anau next, and visit Milford Sound.
