Hello from Nuremberg!
This is day 3 and this morning my luggage finally arrived at our hotel after being MIA, last seen in Singapore, missing my connecting flight. I wasnt too bothered as I bought a few new outfits (from head to toe), so it was a blessing in disguise :). Graham sent his spare bike wheels with me, and they still have not made it, which is slightly concerning. He doesnt really want to ride up AlpdHuez on his zipp wheels!
We have been cruising around in the convertible visiting some smaller villages around Spalt and Roth, eating bread and cured meat or schnitzel with a glass of pils. You wouldnt want to be a vegetarian here!
(Excuse the punctuation, I am struggling with the keyboard and the apostrophe is not within easy reach!)
Roth and Spalt are off the beaten track for tourists. Its beautiful here, and it is mostly Germans and Austrians who make this their holiday destination. The villages are quaint and picturesque, Spalt being on the lake and surrounded by forests. Roth is pumping with race fever and expo was awesome and so so cheap. Race day for Kirsten is tomorrow, and she is looking forward to it becoming a distant, good memory. She is fitter than I have ever seen her, so hopefully she have an awesome race.
The internet is not as easily accessible as I was hoping, and Dad- I am not having much joy with the travel sim. Ill look into it once Kirstens race is over, as she is almost fluent in German after a week from being here. It has all come back to her, and she is acting as a translator for everyone.
Weve decided to head off to Czec Republic on tuesday for a few days before I sing and dance my way through a Fruelin Maria bicycle tour in Salzburg.
