I woke up earlier this morning at 6:30 in Nottingham Backpackers and lucky i did because i just bet the shower rush. I was ready earlier then i needed to be so just sat in lounge room and read a book for a while and slowly walked to the bus station ready for my 7 hour bus trip. This bus was another quite trip with only 10 people we stoped at a few places to drop & pick people up. I would have to catch 3 different buses today, the first leg was from Nottingham to Leeds, 2 hours 20 mins. I stoped there for 1 hour & 10 mins. They had farmer markets next door to bus station so i checked them out and got organic yoghurt. Big mistake it tasted disgusting. Back on the bus to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne which took 3 hours and this bus was packed and a very nice smelling man sat next to me but talked on him mobile trying to work from the bus so the ear phones went in and volume up went up.
The county side was so beautiful i had by eyes glued to the window the whole time i couldn't get enough of the green grass, crops, sheep, cows and little farm sheds and houses. Was to busy looking and didn't get any photos but will on the way back.
When we got to Newcastle i only had a 45 min wait then on a different the bus for the last leg to Berwick-upon-Tweed only 1 hour and 30 mins away. This bus was packed as well and only got an aisle seat but the view was still beautiful.
I was meeting Jean & Jo at the bus stop and never met them before but as soon as Jean seem me she knew who i was because i looked like Mum. We headed for their house only 10 mins away, settled in and felt like i was at home. They are very welcoming and friendly people. After some dinner we went for a drive to the coast 1 1/2 miles from their house and into the city centre. The town is small with the country and seaside mixed together, what more could you ask for. It was perfect and picture perfect was the bonus. We ventured to the Scotland Border only 5 mins away where you just cross without any passport check, i was amazed at that. We only went 1/4 mile into scotland and headed home. It was a very cold night.
Jean & Jo already had me staying longer then Monday by the end of the night.
