Life in an ashram is hard. We get up really early, talk about the Divine (our own personal God, or Universe or whatever your beliefs are) for a few hours, have breakfast, go back to class and learn more about how messed up our minds are and how we are the creators of most (if not all) of our pain and suffering. Then we pray some more for freedom from whatever the lesson of the day is, (judgment, fear, etc) and meditate on it. Then we do a ritual and aarti (fire offering) and meditate some more before receiving blessing and having dinner around 8 or 9pm. Then off to bed!! I AM on vacation, right???? Looking forward to my last week or so poolside and chilling in Goa and Mumbai. The great thing about being here is that I have learned more about myself and my f-ed up mind in the past 10 days than I have in 2+ years of psychotherapy!!! Christina Brown, I think I may not need to drive to Whistler anymore....
