Travelled to Ilhe Grande and after we managed to carry our very heavy bags along a track and the beach we eventually found our hotel. A chilled evening with dinner and drinks with Amy and Celine.

We went on a boat trip around some of the islands. We met Dawn and Celine and had a great evening with yummy ice cream, our favourite flavour being ferrero rocher flavour, and a free pre – carnival concert!

After a birthday sing song via skype we walked to the Liberdade and had a look at around the cathedral before lunch – where we somehow managed to order frango sweet and sour style! (chicken) Drinks in the Vila Madelena area and chats with Anthony.

We went to the football stadium to try to get tickets for the match but they were sold out So we spent most of the day just wondering around seeing some of the city.
