Australia is great and I'm loving Adelaide. It's the fringe festival at the moment and loads going on - it was the opening night on the 8th and I went to a concert in one of the parks and met loads of the locals - really good atmosphere and lots of performances. The day before I'd been to a soccer match! It was Adelaide United versus Chowdong, the champions of China. It was the equivalent of the Champions League and Chowdong are the Chelsea of China, all money and no history! Adelaide lost 1 nil, but it was busy and good supporters.

Its been a bank holiday weekend and so loads on and went to a band on Friday night, then I went to the Adelaide Cup on Monday. It's not as big as the Melbourne Cup, but would be the same as the Derby back in England - a very glamourous day, with all the women dressed up in hats and the weather was very good. I had a cheeky 5 dollar bet on the main race and won!! I got 23 back and spent it on the cheapest bottle of champagne and a hotdog! I met loads of people and they were all inviting me to sit at their tables feeding me and just being Australian. The party carried on in another area of town but I have no idea what it was called!
