Whitehorse and the Alaska Highway.
Sleeping in Bertha was definately improved by the foam mattresses Bill gave us as we woke up refreshed, looking at a beautiful view across Klaune River in the morning sunshine. I started the day's driving covering a couple of hundred miles to reach Whitehorse. The roads steadily improved as the day went on and the scenery was nothing less than breathtaking!! I'm sure our pictures dont do it justice but we've tried to capture the views as we drive along that make us say WOW and point or nudge each other to be sure neither of us misses any of these spectacular surroundings. At Whitehorse we found a MacDonalds and I had a craving for nuggets!! Andy had a double BigMac which is 4 burgers!! The real purpose was of course the wifi and we used the opportunity to upload pre-written blogs and pictures, check accounts etc and talk on skype with Matt and Andy's sister Alison who both should have been in bed at that time, but we were glad to get the chance to touch base with home. From Whitehorse Andy drove another 200ish miles to a rest area not far from Nugget City (which wasn't even village sized and had no MacDonalds for nuggets :( !! ) where we spent the night.
