Thursday was our beach day. We started it off by driving to Crystal Cove State Park, with a quick stopover at the Crystal Cathedral for some photos. Impressive place built totally out of glass! Anyway, Crystal Cove State Park is a protected area between Newport and Laguna Beach. Very peaceful place and nice to wander for a few hours. After this we drove up Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) to Huntington Beach, or as the locals call it, Surf City USA! What a wicked place!!!! Massive wide wide wide beaches as far as you can see and tons of people surfing. We walked out on the pier and watched the people surfing from there for a couple of hours. Was a really great day and another highlight of our time in LA!
