Having made great progress we decided to arrive at the camp site a day early. That turned out to be a very good decision as the Key Camp staff let us in our caravan a day early, for free! So we have rested our legs and Alan got into holiday mood by going in the pool despite the cool weather and impending storm, see photos.
We are going to meet Jon and David, arriving at Tours station at mid day tomorrow, a mere 18 mile ride away. It will be strange for me and Alan to have other people to talk to and be with as we have been conjoined for over a week now and have become like two people joined by an umbilical cord. AB
Lomax tradition of instantly hitting the pool had to be maintained. Even under threat of electrocution from approaching storm. Seems odd not to be pedalling like a demon for 5 hours. But nice to!! Rains have followed our trail and blight our attempts to dry the washing.
Weather forecast better for next week when the old folks arrive. Bless them! Tartan blankets at the ready.APL.
