Part 1 of 2
Hi everyone, once again we are sorry for the delay in updating the blog.
Since the last update we have been to hell and then out again on a speed boat. Hell or as it is known by the locals as Koh Lipeh. In the brochure it shows beautiful accommodation with the whitest sands, so white you had to were shades just looking at the picture. The bungalows we choose to stay in were not the cheapest at 26 pounds per night. We got the boat from Koh Lanta and after a very long journey we arrived to be put in a long tail and then have to pay to be taken on a 30 second ride to the beech. Falling out the long tail into the sea and then walking to our hotel we were feeling good about it, the beach wasn't as described in fact far from it. We checked it and were shown to the room. Oh my goodness, what had we done, it was going to be 3 nights in hell. Let me describe it. One very small bed with no sheets, two dirty pillows again with no covers. The toilet and bathroom with no door. The toilet didn't have a flush and you had to get water from the tap in a jug and tip it down which then made the smell from the pit underneath it come up into the bedroom. The shower was a hosepipe on the wall with only cold water and to top it off the air con unit was about as much use as a chocolate fire guard. The bed was crawling with bugs and we where both bitten to death. It rained everyday except one and the food in the restaurant was uneatable and very expensive. Thankfully we found a nice small place to eat which should a DVD in the evening so we didn't starve.
Now guess the name of the beach, Amanda it's over to you….. It was Pattaya; we missed the original and ended up somewhere just as bad. This defiantly left us leaving Thailand with a bitter taste and very dirty hair as we made our way to Malaysia and the Island of Langkawi. To make up for the nightmare we booked into a very smart 4star hotel in the islands capital. This was called the Bayview and had tea/coffee maker, fridge, TV shower and a BATH. Two nights in luxury where we laid by the very large roof top pool, went shopping to get binoculars for the F1. Nothing rally more to say about it other than it was nice but we both still wanted to move on to are next shop with was going to be Phucket.
