The ferry journey over to the South Island was thankfully calm as we had been warned it would be rough, rough, rough as the Tasmin sea was very unforgiving. This sailing is said to be the most scenic short cruise in the world. We missed the dullest part of the trip as we decided to watch a film on board instead of braving the wind and cold out on deck.
