Hey Peeps, In Nam presently. Having muchos good time. THe big story is the passing of big typhoon force 8 over the last couple of days. We were in Hue which was nice but under a blanket of rain and plenty of wind, took a bit of a tour on a motorbike but got too drenched to enjoy it. So instead of holing up we decided to move on, right into the path or the perfect storm. Well not that bad really but there was little difference between the rivers sea or roads. Our driver did well and I wanted to kiss his bald little head when we finnished. But now in Hoi An with much better weather. Visited Hanoi and Cat Ba Island. Hanoi was nice and busy again took a cyclo round the town and to visit uncle Ho's Museum, Rachel, morbid as she is, really wanted to go and see his body in the mausoleum, but he is away in russia for a couple of months. I think it is a convention of ex commie leaders, must be a great ball. Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba Island was really nice, the cleanest place in asia, and really nice locals. really enthusiastic kids and scenery very similar to the limestone islets you see above. Took a motorbike round much of the island and found a little deserted beach we could have a swim and sunburn (sorry sun bathe) on. Wish you were here. Andy and Rachel.
