Today we decided to give Christchurch another chance as we hadn’t had much luck the previous day. So we got the bus into town again, but the weather was still not great; we were even thinking that we should have put our thermals on! So we just spent time in an internet café before wandering out to some department stores out of the city centre. If we had known these shops were so far out of the city centre I don’t think we would have bothered going to them, but we did manage to buy Andrea a Christmas present in the shape of an MP3 player which had two very important features – it had 1Gb of storage and it looked good! After our shopping trip we went to a Mexican restaurant that was advertised in on of the leaflets we had, and on the way we passed a restaurant called “The Booth” (Andrea’s maiden name). So we failed again to see much of Christchurch, but we did have a very nice Mexican meal.
