Hi guys,

sorry havn't updated in a couple of days... we are still alive (sorry mums). We left Saigon on Friday after taking a 'hectic' cyclo ride around the capital to see all the sights- the war meuseum (heart breaking...really good pics tho), 'independence palace' where the president hangs out and tortures people in the basement and also the Cu Chi tunnels where the Viet Chong fought against the much loved americans. all very interesting. So after many a zippo sales pleas we left on friday for the Mekong.

We have been down the south of Vietnam in the Mekong for the past few days. It is the most magical place. Life goes by much slower than the city...but there is still sufficient 'beep beeps' and mossies to know that ur still alive. Everyone has little waterfront huts and if they don't they live on their boats.

Anyway... we are running on three 6am starts so batteries are low...will write more in the next few days. The plan is to catch a slow boat across the boarder into Cambodia tomorrow and probably stay about a week. We have a flight booked back to Saigon from Siem Repe on Sat 22.
