Had Antenatal clinic this morning with Dr Bassaw and the rest of his students. A good 10 of us squished into a tiny cubicle with a heavily pregnant woman. The only thing that stopped me hitting the deck were the two students I was wedged between! In theatre tomorrow morning, except we heard that the hospital's electricity is going to be turned off tomorrow from 8am until 5pm, so not sure how successful it's going to be! Dr Bassaw told me today that the facilities and practices in the hospitals in Trinidad are 40 years behind the UK!!! I think he's fibbing! We reckoned about 20 years at the most (seriously!) The plan for tonight, going to a club in Port of Spain, Club Zen. Three girls from Ireland arrived at the weekend, so there's a crowd of us venturing out. Wish us luck!! Cate xxx
