This morning we had a short trek to the 'Three Pools'. We followed Barbera, a friend od Horace, otherwise we would never have found it! She led us into the woods, through the river every now and again, then as we reached the first pool, a rock climb began!!! No one mentioned that! Back to the beach this morning. Dodging the rain showers between sunbathing! The weather was amazing inbetween! Everyone got a little burnt! Horace had promised us a trip to Paria Bay on a fishing boat in the afternoon. It's supposed tobe a true teasure-island style hideaway! So we waited, and napped, and waited some more, and they didn't come! What a disappointment! Some other time! Horace said he'll make it up to us though!

This moring after breakfast with Horace our host for the weekend, we headed to the beach. Andy, Pete and Rich frolicked in the waves the whole morning. They were absolutely massive! Couldn't find anywhere for lunch, so snacked on crisps and fruit bread! Our evening meal of Kingfish was cooked by a little old lady called Tante.

What a day we had today! Today the six of us made our way into Port of Spain to get a taxi up to the small fishing village of Blanchisseuse in the North of Trinidad. It has a lovely beach and not a lot else. Since we arrived in Trinidad, everyone we have met has told us POS is pretty dodgy. There are two streets which are safe and all the others are not, especially Charlotte St and eastwards of that. We should always know where we are going and ...
