We got into Cork in the late afternoon, and hopped on the bus into the city. Our bus driver even arranged a hostel for us, and dropped us off at the door after his other stops. That night we wandered around Cork, and in and out of a couple pubs with live music.
It was pretty rainy, but the weather cleared up over night and we had a beautiful morning at Blarney Castle. We both kissed the Blarney Stone, not that either of really need extra aptitude with flattery or eloquence haha. Here's a fact for you: Tripadvisor.com recently ranked the Blarney Stone as the most unhygienic tourist attraction in the world.Happy to say I didn't get sick, probably because of me Irish heritage. We toured the castle grounds and the Blarney Mansion… which I still don't understand why anyone would live in a house when they own a castle?!
After Blarney Castle, we headed to the coast in hopes of sea kayaking or another such adventure, but the rain came back and the afternoon tours were cancelled so we hopped back on the bus and went up to Dublin.
