Well we have some pretty big news for you all!

On our way back to Cairns after spending an amazing day snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef we went for a walk on a deserted beach in the Northern Queensland Heritage Area.We had the beach completely to ourselves and Andrew set up the camera to take a photo of us and as he came back he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! (Check the photos out - my expression is priceless!)

I said yes and we are both really happy, as are our family!However, we have no plans to get married for a little while yet, particularly as we will be completely broke after these travels and Andrew goes back to being a student when we return!!

The ring is a beautiful 18-carat white gold ring with a 0.3-carat Argyle diamond which is set in a heart shape so you can see the whole diamond!I saw it in a jewelers on Wednesday in Cairns, we were only looking because there were loads of sales on and I wanted to get a measurement for my fingers.I tried on a few rings that I thought I would like but they were not as nice as I thought they would be.However when I tried this ring on and it fitted I knew it was perfect.But we left it, or so I thought as Andrew then went back to get it!!

So there you go - crazy and very romantic!
