Arrived in Hobart midday and immediately headed to town. Apparently Horbartians flock to the waterfront like seagulls to chips so our first duty of the day was to check that out. Took a stroll around Battery Point, had lunch at Irish Murphy's (just had to, to celebrate Simon's heritage), and then took a wonderful tour around Hobart by car to see how the local folk live. My feeling is that the people here are friendly, modest and very concerned about their environment. Both of us were very tired so after enjoying some Australian Open we hit the sack.
