What better place could there be to sit and type away on your blog, but the shore of Lake Titicaca.

You might be wondering why a photo of a ferry has been chosen for this blog.

When we were about 40 km. from Copacabana the bus parked by the edge of the lake and we were all asked to get off. What happened next was unexpected. After buying a ticket for one and a half Bolivianos, about 10 pence, we were ushered onto an over crowded boat with an out-board motor. The bus, meanwhile, had been driven onto a large raft-like construction with low wooden sides and was already heading off across the water. Not long after we re-joined the bus and settled into our seats for the rest of the journey.

We are now happily settled into the Rosario Hotel in Copacabana and after about three hours on the internet an exploratory walk into the town is called for!
