Arrived in Brisbane last Wednesday (10th April). I'd been told a lot that Brisbane wasn't really worth a visit but my first impressions proved totally the opposite!! The city had a really nice vibe to it and its the first place where I have felt that I could stay longer. Arrived in surfers paradise on Sunday morning. Weather unfortunately was pretty bleuurgh the first day so depressingly had to make an umbrella purchase... But definitely worth it! Was a bit concerned that buying an umbrella would of course make the weather nice but who's complaining there!! It seemed like a nice little area though despite the icky rain. Beach is huuuuge! My hostel (backpackers resort) was a bit out of town but only a 30 second walk to the beach...

Unfortunately I didn't make it to the rainforest yesterday (monday 1st) but instead i decided to take myself off on a camel ride along the beach! The weather wasn't brilliant but it didn't really need to be as the camels were very chilled. Arrived here at Coffs Harbour yesterday morning at around 6am only to find that the hostel wasn't staffed until 9am....
