Arrived here at Coffs Harbour yesterday morning at around 6am only to find that the hostel wasn't staffed until 9am.... Despite feeling homeless for a while whilst I waited to get in, 'plantation backpackers' seemed like a laid back, friendly place to be. Not many people around but I was actually quite happy to have some peace and quiet! After getting settled in and freshening up in a very dodgey looking shower, I headed down to 'jetty beach' to meet up with two girls I'd met in my hostel in Sydney. By the time I was there and had walked along the big jetty, it was late afternoon so we just chilled for a bit on the beach. Doesn't seem like there's a whole look to do here; you need a car to be able to get to most places which is a shame.
Turns out the club thats part of my hostel is the 'place to be' for nightlife here, and of course I took full advantage of that! They had an Easter party so the place was packed out. Very fun evening but definitely too much goon!! Feeling a little worse for wear today but think I might be ill too so it's not all self inflicted... Honest! Weather not been great today so just had a very lazy day and I've spent most of it in bed, can't complain! Hoping tomorrow to go and look at Dorrigo national park but it's quite a way to go so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get there. Hoping the weather will be slightly brighter tomorrow. Hope everyone's had a lovely Easter - very much enjoyed my egg from Chris, my first bit of chocolate in a whole 5 days!!!! Amy x
