Tuesday 12 January The days rush forward together. It's the first day I sleep in. After breakfast the cleaning lady comes and then later another lady, the seamstress, to show the fabric left after making quilts. It's a good day for washing and we wash sheets and towels. We go to day care to check the water leaks. The water wasn't turned off and we are not sure how bad it will be. It's not too bad and we clean it up and gather the extra things that don't belong ...

Monday 11 January Today is the day we cook at the day care as the cook is in town getting some government numbers worked out. We soaked the beans overnight. There is a large pile of stuff to take over so we each carry some. Malcolm sorts through the rice while I start cutting up vegetables for the beans. It's about 12:30 by the time is all cooked and first round if dishes done. I like it, but I'm not sure the locals do! I followed a recipe for African beans. Hm...

Sunday 10 January Malcolm cooks pancakes for breakfast! They are so fat and I can't eat all of mine! A quiet morning passes quickly. Lori comes back just before 11. Saturday 9 January We just have a quiet day. I read some short miracle stories. The cats are running around crazy! I out then outside for a while on hopes of calming them. After lunch Hannah works on a scrapbook. I start to feel a bit ill so take a nap until later. We watch a movie and head to bed.

Friday 8 January I'm awake early and the power is on so I get up and start cooking the dal and the banana cake. It takes a good few hours and I end up needing the generated for about 20min to finish with the cake. It feels like having run a marathon. We head to the day care to help mind the children and lunch.
