Friday 8th May An early-ish start again- this time to meet a tour bus. We are the first ones picked up and the driver tells us he doesn't speak English. We stop at three more places to collect more passengers so we make 7. Across the bridge we go to Brazil. The bridge is half painted Argentina colours and half Brazil colours. Thursday 7th May We get up early to catch the 7 am bus back to the falls. We arrive by 7:30 and have to wait for them to open at 7am. We get In Only to find the walk doesn't open till 8:30. We see a toucan fly overhead with his large orange beak and a dead tree frame full with vultures. The walk is nice and we see a few different birds and a pair of small pig like animals. Wednesday 6th may We leave in time to catch the 9 am bus, but it's late 15 min. We get to the national park and buy tickets. Then we make our way to validate our receipt for tickets then await the jungle truck. Sunscreen and bug cream applied. The tour is bilingual and informs us of animals and plants and risk to them and the rainforest. It's a short walk down to the bait where we get life jackets and get aboard. Tuesday 5th May 4:45 comes too soon. We get up and pack up and leave about 5:30. The trip to the airport is about 40 minutes. It's in a new domestic terminal: nice but small. We check in then share a hot chocolate and croissant. We say our farewells and go through the gate. The flight is uneventful. No screens and I try and sleep the whole way. Monday 4th May After a fitful sleep we finally get up around 10. Evelina gives us a banana smoothie then we go across the street to her work and she gives us a tour. Building in South America is virtually wood free being made or concrete, steel and brick. Work celebrates her birthday with a cake.
