Friday 30 October We feel awful. As to be expected I suppose. We get off the bus and walk to the metro station. It's pretty easy to find our way to the hotel. Thursday 29 October It's annoying to be again consistently not sleeping well. The room lights are on a timer. It about 8:30 when they come on. The room has been pretty noisy overall. No sound absorbing flooring. We pack, eat breakfast and I FaceTime with family while Malcolm does some things on the computer. Wednesday 28 October We pack up and have breakfast at the hostel. Then we walk to the bus stop to catch our bus Munich. The wall along the path had just been rendered and we gauged it with our bags. Opps. No signs or anything. We meet a girl from Australia also traveling and living on the uk for a year. The bus ride is about 2 hours and the countryside is so lovely. We have to stop at a checkpoint and have out passports looked at. I guess screening for refugees...

Tuesday 27 October We don't rush out and when we do go out it's a bit warmer and the sun is shining more. We stop at a supermarket and get some breakfast. We then spend an enjoyable day wandering around Salzburg. It's quite small and not a lot of see. We walk up the the fortress and the view is great and the history interesting. We also find a convent. We realise too late about checking out some gardens and the palace. It's nearly 5 kms away so we miss it out. ...

Monday 26 October It's a relaxing morning. And we figure out that there is free wifi. We misread it. Yay. We make the most of it and do more planning. We check out and wall down to the station to discover we could have saved €14. There is a sale on today. Oh well. We pick a seat and enjoy the country side on the way to Salzburg.
