Monday 26 October
It's a relaxing morning. And we figure out that there is free wifi. We misread it. Yay. We make the most of it and do more planning. We check out and wall down to the station to discover we could have saved €14. There is a sale on today. Oh well. We pick a seat and enjoy the country side on the way to Salzburg. It's rolling un-farmed un-fenced hills with clumps of houses here and there. Salzburg instantly feels smaller than I imagined, but nice and spacious. They seem to be set up for refugees at the station with police army and Red Cross personal wondering around, there are a few ppl that could be refugees, but not many. Our hostel is close and we check and settle in then decide to make the most of waning sunlight and hike up the hill. It's full of autumn colours and beautiful views, once down we wonder the town a bit and head back. We pass 2 supermarkets. And they are both closed! It feels like it's really difficult to buy food here. The hostel provides dinner. For a cost. And the cost isn't cheap. But we have to. We get vege schnitzel and a pizza. It's enough.
