We don't rush out and when we do go out it's a bit warmer and the sun is shining more. We stop at a supermarket and get some breakfast. We then spend an enjoyable day wandering around Salzburg. It's quite small and not a lot of see. We walk up the the fortress and the view is great and the history interesting. We also find a convent. We realise too late about checking out some gardens and the palace. It's nearly 5 kms away so we miss it out. It's easy to see that only a few things have made a lasting impact here that is part of the tourist scene today: Mozart and the sound of music. We stop again for good on the way back and then spend some time booking and planning. We end up chatting with some kiwis and Aussies who are staying in our room. Tomorrow we are moving on.
