We wake up late. But thankfully breakfast is till 11am!
We are allowed to choose 4 things. I choose 2 bagels, a muffin and an apple. Malcolm sees there is a church very close so we get ready and go to the service. They sing heaps and heaps on hymns. There are at least 8 on the board and then they have some for offerings and prayer. It's in a shared church where 3 meet! It's large with a high ceiling and stained ads windows. Echo-y. Seems to be a majority black population which is interesting. I'm not sure if the demographic of the city though.
Consequently, there are A LOT pre-lims. The pastor starts at 12:15! And we arrived before 11. For all the 'pre' the sermon is short and it's hard to understand because of the echoing. Someone invites us to stay for lunch in the church that we decline. A late breakfast will do that to you.
After a late lunch we go for a walk down to the water. It's about 30 min to walk. Not very impressed really! It's very smelly and dirty. Reminds me if parts of South America. I really expected more! Especially with the Games here. Not a favourite place. We go to the wifi lounge when we are back, write postcards and FaceTime and then watch part of a movie before bed.
