Thursday 12 November
We just have a chill morning relaxing and resting. I finish off my postcards and get ready to leave. We leave about 1:30 and walk to the last supper church via the post office. The serving lady seemed a bit grumpy. I had to put one stamp on the back and one on the front to make them all fit. I wish they would just put a stamp on that says postage paid if the actual stamps are too big! We continue on to the church via the castle again. It's actually quite far; almost 5km. We have enough time thankfully and I get our tickets printed at the desk. I timed it right and we are with the English tour. While we wait we check out the church and read some plagues on the history. To get it in we go through about 3 lots of doors. I think they are trying to keep pressure and temperature. The room is very echoey and it's difficult to hear the guide, but we get the gist of it. The painting is spectacular. But 15 minutes is not enough time to view it. And there is another painting on the opposite wall by someone else that we barely got to see. But amazing to see it. I get a sneaky sneaky picture in my phone. There is another free exhibition of paintings from scriptural text. Then we start heading back. It's a long way! We stop for a sweet snack from a patisserie. It's good. Once back we get dinner, do some more planning and prepare for early departure.
