Saturday 21 November We enjoy a quiet day in. It's raining outside. In the afternoon we head out to the fortress again and enjoy the sunset behind the impressive clouds. It's so pretty. We make our way to the train station to buy our tickets for tomorrow. There are lots of escalators going down the hill. Makes the trip fun! We buy some cookies and enjoy them while we walk back to the b&b. We cook up a great dinner of make shift lasagna with veges and pasta...

Friday 20 November It's nice to have kitchen access and enjoy good food! Once I'm ready we head out to see Siena! It's a short walk to the main public square. It's a wide arch with a fountain at the top all gently sloping to a drain at the bottom. Inside a courtyard we see statues of very fat ladies in different poses. We see more all over the city. Thursday 19 November We have to leave by 10 am. There is a basic breakfast downstairs. Once left we walk to the train station. It's good timing and we don't have to wait too long before catching our train. We have to change trains at empoli. But the trip isn't too long at all.
