Sunday 10th may
It rained pretty heavy for most of the night- yes I know- didn't sleep much! But at least the rain kept a lot of motorbikes away! We pack up and tidy and get ready to leave at nine. We don't see the manager to give the keys to, and it starts up raining again so we wait around a bit longer. When the rain lets up we walk to the bus station. Eventually we get on the right bus after talking to 3 people. It's a short trip till we get to immigration. All off the bus for a quick trip through the line. Then back to the bus for Brazil border. Here we have to get off, but still a relatively fast immigration experience. The length is on waiting for the next bus to come. Maybe an hour or so. We meet a Korean girl who lives in the states working as a cellphone engineer of something. She had been traveling on and off for the last 3 years. We use Malcolm's offline map to figure where we need to get off, then it's a short walk to the hostel. It's gated, tidy and looks very nice. The man at the desk is very helpful and advises and recommends a few things. We get settled and then head to a buffet barbecue place that is close and recommended. The salad is very good and beautiful veges. I'm happy! We walk to a big supermarket/department store and buy some food for dinners. Breakfast included. We buy some grape juice and it's delicious! Tastes like grandmas home made.
My feet are tired from walking and carrying extra weight. We rest and research and Malcolm FaceTime's his siblings. A new iphone in the family.
Light snacks, shower and bed in order!
