Tuesday 12 may
Breakfast and off to the bus station to head to the dam. We arrive early and get our tickets sorted and paid. Then to wait. There is free wifi! Quite a few spots actually. The tour starts at ten with a video then a bus trip and finally a tour inside. It's definitely an impressive structure! 40,000 ppl working to build it. Schools, hospitals and towns built for them. It's split right down the middle between Brazil and Paraguay, even to silly little details. It is 100% efficient and provides 80% of Paraguay's power and 15% of Brazils. When we return it's a long wait till the next tour. We browse the shop, eat a pastry go for a walk around the grounds and do stuff on our phones. Eventually 3:30 comes!
We bus to the ecological sanctuary and start with a video, then we walk about the grounds and view the animals. Very nice.
We catch the bus back and enjoy dinner of noodles and guacamole.
