Hola Amigos!
I have just spent the last week in San Sebastian enjoying the beach, sun, and Sarah! It was so great to be able to see my friend after 9 months of living n different states. And of course spending it in a beautiful city such as San Sebastian is just a plus.
We woke at 630 this am and caught separate busses out of town. I arrived in Madrid after 7 hours on a very nice bus... I even watched The Last Airbender in Spanish! I guess it helped that I've seen it already so I could understand most of it. When I got to the city I took two metro trains to a residential area of Madrid and followed very cryptic directions to my couch surfers house.... But I found my way there in the end. Now I am enjoying the wifi access on my phone on their couch in the company of Gato and Ratonna, the kitties! There is also an Irish man staying here so we chatted a bit about traveling and our mutual love of Italy.
Tomorrow morning I am meeting the Gruppo Vaughan group for a week of English in the mountains 6 hours outside Madrid! Of course with my luck I woke up yesterday with a sore throat and stuffy nose. I am not sure how well 12 hours a day of talking will go over but I'll make the best of it! I hope they will cater to my vegan eating habits, I did tell them so I guess we will find out! It has been extremely hard to eat here, it's been veggie sandwiches and pasta since I arrived! Although I saw that coming so no surprise!
I will not have any wifi service while doing the program so I won't be posting until after the 13th. But I'm sure I will have lots to say when the program is over!
