We arrived finally at our last destination in Australia! It was very early and we couldn't check in to our hostel until the afternoon so we went for a walk around to make the most of the day we had here! First stop was the lagoon that we used as a shower/bath, it was nice to chill knowing we had made it and would have no more bus problems! After tanning we walked through the city which we really liked, the only reason people are put off of Cairns is the humidity but we managed just fine for a day!!! We found some culture in Australia and went to the art gallery which was really good then headed back to check in our room for a much needed nap! It was our last night in Australia and we wanted to have big night so we had drinks in our room before heading to the bar, then we had a very good nights sleep before checking out early once again! We had the morning before our flight back down to Sydney so chilled and sorted some accommodation for Bali! As we are now pro flyers the domestic flight was easy but sleeping in Sydney airport was not, it was cold, uncomfortable and the worst decision we made. We were very pleased when morning came and we could get out of the airport on our flight to Bali.
Our trip to Australia has been amazing, spending Christmas and New Year in Sydney, visiting beautiful beaches, camping and driving on Fraser Island, snorkelling in The Great Barrier Reef and surviving a cyclone!
Very eventful but we are now looking forward to more madness, more culture, new foods and more ain the second half of our trip and being extra careful! Lots of love Amy and Megan xxxxxxxxxxx
