We woke up nice and early on my bday (YAY) and left Dom's flat after opening my cards, thanks guys, and headed for Base hostel where we were meeting everyone to join the Kiwi Experience bus. Arriving at the stop we waited a while with everyone and had a quick look at who we would be on the bus with, luckily no weirdos were around and everyone seemed fun! We got on the Kiwi bus and were on our way to the beach, after everything was explained about our trip our bus driver Gary (Garidge) who was cringe, had us all speed dating so we got to know people which was actually fun and definatley got everyone talking alot. We arrived at Cathedral cove a beautiful beach which you could either hire kayaks around or take an hour trek there and back, with our budget in mind we chose to walk. The walk wasn't bad at all and we got to see the scenery on the way up and got some good snaps. After running through the cove trying to time it right with the waves we sunbathed and went in the Freezing cold sea and got to know people more. After the walk back and luckily no injuries as it was steep, we headed back for our inner... the start of beans on toast for a month! Slight problem as we didnt have a tin opener but we managed to stabb it open and had our gourmet meal with wine! Then it was down to hot water beach where you dig holes in the sand and it fills up with boiling hot water, like a mini steam pool! After lots of digging we made a good pool and everyone sang happy birthday to me a great start to our trip and my birthday! Lots of love xxxxxxx
