Took a day trip today to a place called Nimbin!!! this is the wierdest little town (village really) i have ever been to!!! WEnt with becca and andrea two girls i have met in byron bay and what a laugh. WEnt on a bus called the happy coach that blasted out all sorts of tunes for the trip to nimbin and it was driven by a guy called fred who never seemed top blink, smiled all the time and had dreadlocks!! on the bus we met two swiss-german guiys (andrea is swiss german too) so we got chatting to them. we firstly drove though rain forest and went to see the Mynamin falls (i think i spelt that wrong) they were beautiful!! so high!!!! the water just fell like spray over 100ft down into the rainforest!! very pretty!!! it was so high up too!!! we also saw a lot os lizards here and a kookabora ( i know thats not how you spell that but i am trtying to catch up wioth about 8 days of travel here and dont have time to check it! you know what i mean). the bus then took us to nimbin where we all went and had the most amazing home cut chips in a cafe called the rainbow cafe and had australian growen coffee!!! very nice! the area of nimbin itself was interesting!! open cannibis dealing on streets and the resisidents are allowed to grow it! if i got a dollar for the amount of times someone said to me wanna buy some cookies or something i would not be very rich ha ha!!! its a really colourful place! All the shops are brightly painted and sell the most wierd and wonderful things!! its worth a visit but not to go out of your way and see it unless you are into that sort of thing! the police just dont seem to mind. and its real life hippiues there!!! oroginals from the 1973 aquararious times!!!! dressed the same and everything! we went into the hemp museum which was pretty interesting! a guy had a shop but didnt liuke selling his stuff so just collected thing over tyhe years and made a history of the town! very colourful again!! the guy who worked there took some nice angled shots for us! the girls are going top send me on their photos so i will have more to add at a later date!!!!! saw the rainbow rocks too, which are aberigonal rocks used to test their pubestent teenagers to see whether they are men or not!!!! c;limbiong a sheer cliff to a hole hundreds pf feet up!!! pretty scary looking!! think alot have died!! we werent allowed to get to close though! its still sacred ground! that night we went with one of the sswiss guys up to the light house and watched the sunset!! it was gorgeous!!! then (we never thought ahead really about this) had to walk back in the pitch black!! was sacry!! we then walked along the beach in the moon light!!! very romantic!!! ha ha!! he wet to a wet t shirt comp and we headed back for a few beers at hostel then bed as we were all heading off very early next day on our jounreys!!
