Hello again! Another day, another travelling adventure! Today we planned to go to the land where dreams come true... Disneyland! Before leaving LA we needed to grab a few things for tomorrow's festivities so out we went fearing the traffic troubles that were ahead. Unbeknownst to Phil and i nobody does anything or goes anywhere before 10Am on a Saturday morning in La, Dam the fantastic gay men/women and their lavish, drinking lifestyles!
After our morning of waiting and gathering we finally ventured to Disneyland, Anaheim and MAN were we impressed!!!!! Firstly the parking was extremely large and easy to navigate. We parked under Daisy Ducks watchful eye on level two and really didn't have to do much more, other then follow the crowd! Down the escalator takes you down to the trams, these fantastic, obviously Disney inspired machines take all adults, kiddies and old folk straight to the gates of the happiest place on earth. It's a great way to travel the short distance but being the Aussie buffs that we are....We chose to walk. Next we walked through the bag checking area as I opened up my bag Phil asked the security fellow. " Hey mate, what are you looking for?" With a cheeky grin the blokes told us " Mouse traps, of course"! And so the giggles began. As we walked through the final gate smiles slowly spread across our faces...WE made it!!!!!!! The place is so extensive and creative, we spent the first hour just wondering around! We went on the pirates of the Caribbean ride, The Star Wars ride, The jungle cruise, The haunted house tour and finally the Indiana Jones ride, and the graphics on them all was phenomenal, like nothing I had seen before. The brains behind Disneyland have come up with an ingenious invention called a fast pass, where you collect a ticket for a ride, leave and come back in an allotted time frame where patrons can basically walk straight onto the ride of choice. So you never have to wait inline again! We also couldn't believe how tidy the whole area was kept and with no sign of any actual cleaning staff, it wash truly magical. At 9:30 the Castle comes alive with a 15 minute firework spectacular, Tinker bell and Dumbo in flight across the sky included. After this we cruised back to LA easily finding our way back to the freeway. Now let me tell you, it doesn't matter if you are young, old, fat, skinny or orange, Get your arse to Disney land, It truly is the happiest place on earth.
