We arrived in Byron Bay mid afternoon, just in time to catch the shuttle to our hostel as it drove past us on the main road. Byron was a laid back surfer town, with a beautiful coastline, so we quickly decided to stay longer than planned. That caused the weather to turn for a couple of days but we still had a great time chilling out on the beach, body surfing/getting pummeled by big waves, and body boarding.
