We started with a city tour, very surprising city with lots to see and do. We went to the Dublin Museum to try and understand Irish history, unfortunately we could not take photos. An early start, we had to travel back to Holyhead, North Wales to catch the ferry to Island. Really nice drive, but could not stop which was a pity! The ferry was eventful with Sarah and I both feeling unwell, the rolling seas were unrepentant until the last hour, when we reached the Irish Sea, which was surprisingly calmer, just! Today we travelled to my home town, a lot has changed in 43 years, although I'm struggling to remember things! We took a photo of where I was born and had a look around town, trying to jog my memory. It was a long drive from Wales, we stopped at Stoke on Trent for pub lunch, had Sunday roast. Tomorrow we are going to the Lake District and Lancaster Castle. Weather was quite good, even had some sunshine!

Another day another castle, this time in Wales. Our day starts with a city bus tour to get our bearings. Cardiff castle was impressive, although not as old as Warwick Castle, also privately owned for a number of years. Had lunch in the Bay area and walked around the city, the Patron Saint of Wales is Sir David which is kind of interesting. Big day today, travelled to Lake Windemere in the famous Lake District, caught a ferry to Ambleside and had lunch in a great restaurant. Travelled back to Lancaster and did a guided tour of Lancaster Castle, pretty interesting for most Australians as this is where most convicts were deported from!
