Thu 23/8
After yet another bus journey we arrived in Mui Ne. Luckily this time we got dropped off where we were meant to so our hotel was just across the road. Like it when a plan comes through! It was hell of a hot out so we spent the afternoon in our nice air-conditioned room planning some more of our trip. Headed out for a walk in the evening, not as good as Nha Trang here as you cant get near the beach unless you go through one of the many resorts which line the beach front!
Fri 24/8
We planned to rent push bikes the day but got convinced that a motor bike was a better option (and it was only £1.20 more) Wasn't so keen mesel but Cam really wanted to so we decided to brave the vietnamese roads and go for it! It was great fun, got to see a lot more than we would have on push bikes, went a run along the strip first and when we came to the end there was finally a stretch of beach you could get on to, not the nicest but we watched the men out gathering scallops and had a look through the shells, no grottie buckies in sight tho!lol. Went to the fairy spring which was lots of fun coz we had to walk up the river to get to the waterfall, luckily its a bed of sand so comfy under the feet, the waterfall wasn't anything special but it was worth it as the walk was beautiful! Sat and had lunch at the side of the road which had great views over the fishing village and the bay. Luckily I had a note of the directions to go see the red sand dunes coz they don't bother with sign posts for these things! Was really looking forward to doing a bit of sledging down the dunes but we decided not to bother! Luckily we watched a few folk do it first, it looked s***! Plus i didn't fancy getting sand in my pants!lol. Give me snow any day! Didn't really have time to head to the white sand dunes so we went a run through the countryside instead! It was fun but we were glad to get back as the bum was getting a bit sore by the end of the day.
