So we made the decision to do the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti optional tour. The rest of the group were going and we didn't want to regret not doing it. We went into Arusha in the morning to get money and supplies. When we got back to camp we visited the Snake Park before lunch. They had a variety of snakes and birds and other reptiles. We got to hold a baby crocodile and at the end the guide came out with a snake. Needless to say i moved back quite a distance!! After a few folk had a shot at holding it I decided to give it a go, before Cam would!! With a few choice words and a painted on smile Cam took some pictures, thankfully my sunglasses hid the terror in my eyes! It wasn't as bad as we thought but the snake hardly moved which was great! After lunch we headed to our camp Crater Rim View Inn in Karatu where we prepared for our safari to the Serengeti the next day.
