Had an early start today to get through the Zimbabwe-Botswana border. In the rush to get ready I forgot to wish Cam a Happy Birthday, Tom managed to get in there first. :/
After our border crossing we had a short drive to our camp where we had to pack a small bag (not the easiest) for our overnight safari at Chobe National Park. We were joined by another group for the trip which included a few guys who left us in Vic Falls.
The game drive was great! We saw millions of elephants! After a while we tried counting them and it came to over 200!! Saw other animals too, Warthogs, Birds, Buffalo, Impala, Crocodile, Hippo, Lion, Giraffe etc. Got a great view of a Lion which walked across the road near us.
When we got to our camp our tents were set up for us and dinner was ready. We even had a makeshift toilet which was great coz we thot we would have to pee behind a tree (dad it puts ur eynhallow toilet to shame!lol) After dinner we sang Happy Birthday to Cam and tried to have toasted marshmallows but they were stuck together in a goo from the heat!lol.
Camping in the bush was quite an experience, every little noise you heard made u paranoid!lol.
