Fri 20/4/12 Today we made our last journey on the truck, into our final country in Africa - Kenya! Our guide Mwangi told us we were heading to the best country in the world so we all assumed we were heading to Scotland. Thu 19/4/12 After breakfast we headed out for an early morning game drive. Got some great views of Hippos out of the water (which is unusual) and a pride of 16 lions lazing in the grass. After brunch we headed back to the Snake Park for the night.

Wed 18/4/12 Woke up to rain this morning which wasn't much fun for packing up the tent but it soon cleared. Our first stop was the Ngorongoro Crater which used to be a mountain like Kilimanjaro until some volcanic activity caused it to collapse and form a crater. Tue 17/4/12 So we made the decision to do the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti optional tour. The rest of the group were going and we didn't want to regret not doing it. We went into Arusha in the morning to get money and supplies. When we got back to camp we visited the Snake Park before lunch. They had a variety of snakes and birds and other reptiles. Mon 16/4/12 As we made our way to Arusha today we drove past Mt Kilimanjaro, it was a bit cloudy so didn't get the best view! :( Mt Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and one of the highest free standing mountains in the world. Our camp for the night was the Meserani Snake Park just outside Arusha.
