So our taxi to take us to the boat was due at 6.20-6.30am. After so many turning up early we made sure we were sitting outside waiting at 6am, this is not one we wanted to miss! The boat journey back over to the mainland was a lot more enjoyable than the one we got over! We sat outside and even managed to get a bit of sleep! It was the perfect temperature when we left but by the time we arrived at 11am it was starting to get very hot! We got a bus from the pier to a random office outside town, we did wonder if we were on the right bus but there were no others around so seemed to be right, we were told our company would pick us up from there so we had our fingers crossed they would! Heard so many stories about people booking full journeys only to get half way and have to pay more to get where they want so it made us a bit sceptical! Bought some rolls for breakfast to spend the last of our baht whilst we were waiting, little did we know at the time it wouldn't be until evening before we crossed the border! Our minivan turned up on time so off we headed to Malaysia, in a town near the border the driver dropped off a few locals before pulling up and telling us and another two girls it was our stop (we thought here we go) but luckily we just had to change to another minivan, it was 4pm and we were starving!! We had expected to be across the border by now! After about an hrs wait we headed off again, it was after hours when we went through the border which meant we had to pay an overtime fee of 10 baht each (luckily we still had that amount) but we didn't mind coz it was really quiet so we sailed through nice and quickly! Malaysia is an hour ahead of Thailand so by the time we arrived in Georgetown in Penang it was 10:30pm local time and we were starving, did my usual and booked a hostel near our drop-off point so didn't take long to find it and check-in! The hostel owner was really helpful and gave us a map and told us that the night market was the best and cheapest for food! He wasn't far wrong!! Lots of cuisines to choose from and it was like a food court so we were both able to have food from different stalls, they even had entertainment but it wasnt in english so no idea what was being said! Some alright singers tho, better than the karaoke along the road from us that we had to listen to every night in Koh Pha-ngan!

Had planned a bit of a lazy day today, went online a bit in the morning, headed out for lunch and went for a wander. Turns out Georgetown is really small and we got round all the sights we wanted to see by foot in half a day! Starting to regret booking 3 nights here! Gave us time to make an important decision tho, we have booked flights to go to New Zealand on the 1st Oct which is 2 month earlier than planned! Money is starting to wear thin and we are really looking forward (believe it or not) to getting a job and having a bit of a routine for a while! It does get a bit tiring being on the move the whole time and starting to lose interest in the amazing things we are seeing! Had a nice meal and a few beers to finish off the night!

Seen everything we wanted to so had a complete lazy day today! Went back to the night market for dinner and got our bus to the Cameron Highlands booked. I am looking forward to getting there and buying something that says I love Cameron (Highlands) so cheesey but I also think it will be so funny!lol. So at 10:50pm i was about to publish this and bam internet is off! I like this hostel but the one thing that infuriates me is they turn the internet off at 11pm (10 mins earlier th night!!) Honestly why?? There is no need for it! Seeknin! Ok rant over! Am sure the blog can wait until morning!lol.
