Alyson, Emily, Julie & Katie's Adventures
Well, its a sad thing to say but tomorrow we will bid a sad farewell to Australia and head off for new adventures in New Zealand.
Since our last update we have mostly hung around in cafes in Melbourne. Actually, i lie, we went to Ramsey Street. Obviously the high light of our Australia visit and another life goal achieved. YEAH!!!! We met the real man who lives in Harolds house, he is crazy but then who wouldn't be with 200 British people standing at the bottom of your drive everyday. We also spent a couple of nights getting drunk and met up with Em's friend, Aussie Steve, who is very nice and can certainly talk! Then we set off on a three day trip to the Grampians and the Great Ocean Road. We hiked up mountians, well sort of, and stayed in wood cabins (big spider above Em all night, good job that she couldn't see it without her contacts in). We saw the rock stacks called the Twelve Apostles, or the 11 that are left, and various other rock formations in the sea that we felt the need to take millions of photos of. We saw the lighthouse in Round the Twist (you know the classic tv show when we were young) and the beach mentioned in Point Break, ohh the excitiment!!!
Now we are back in Melbourne and are mentally preparing ourselves for the move to a whole new country. We now have to fly via Sydney to get to NZ as Quantas changed our flights, which is a pain but hey we are hardened travellers and we can cope. Don't forget that we will be 12 hours ahead after saturday.
Goodbye Australia, you have been an excellent host and its been too easy!
Thankyou Australia.
