hello everyone! just wanted to let you all know, i have arrived safely in ocotal. after a veryyyyy long day in managua yesterday waiting for wilmer to finally get in, and having a bit of an adventure with dino, diana, joder, and the crew, we were on the road - sitting in the back of a truck, wind at our backs, for the three hours to ocotal. it was a good ride, with some folks hitchin one with us, and i´m safe and sound and happy with a full belly at the moment...

ahhhh! i will be home basically what is tomorrow here... thats when i start my trek home anyway, how weird is that?! i cant believe that tomorrow at midnight ill get picked up from my house by Souleymane and be on my way back to the states at about 3am local time!! ahhhhh! crazy!! i am glad to be going home but i will miss so much here, i made a list yesterday of all of the things i will miss, and it was pages and pages long, there are few things that i will not...

hello all, so im sorry if that last post was a little bleugh... i guess i was feeling a little bleugh...so my flight has been scheduled now for the 10th instead of the 9th who knows why... so i will technically be arriving in the states to atlanta very early thursday i think... yesterday we went to Ngor beach and took a pirogue (the kind of fishing boats) out to Ngor Island which was full of Baye Falls (or maybe they were Baye Faux as the pretenders are called)...

hello everyone!! i am in the 'land of smiles' for 5 more days only : ( im pretty sad about that... for the next few days i am mostly hanging around with the family and some friends here... making small trips and visits to various people and places... i got my senegalese clothes set for tailoring yesterday so I should have them back from the tailor tomorrow... you will all get to see a boubou on a toubab!! i am glad to be coming home but i also am pretty sad abo...

hello all!!! we returned last night from our four day excursion to saint louis, toubab diallao, lac rose, and the dunes... it was really a lot a lot of fun but a considerable amount of time on a bus, with a small amount of leg room etc... which is never fun but im really glad we did most of the things we did... i say most because i really did not enjoy our visit to a "traditional" village outside of saint louis. not to say that it wasnt quite an exper...
