So. We were a bit worried about arriving in Hoi An. Because Nha Trang kicked bottom (STA censorship...) Sun, sea, sand and all the extras; nice hotel, chilled out boat trip, witnesses to minor digger accident...everything you'd expect and more.
Slept a bit better on the overnight train second time round than first. This was due to a)The consumption of two prescription pain killers, b) Knowing how to unlock the door and thus use the toilet c)No locals interrupting sleep. Only bodily fluids (other peoples) to be found on Dom's sheet, and no stray pubic hairs to report (as before.) Conditions therefore luxurious.
Fortunately Hoi An is pretty funky and a bit of a shopping Mecca. Lis' and I are already planning the purchase of new mega-sized backpacks to house our addictions (rip off designer goods and scarves, scarves scarves...) I think we may have done something a bit historical before lunch (an old wooden house or something?!) but was too distracted by shops to notice. Que sera, sera...
Off to collect tailored purchases (five shirts, two suits, two dresses and a pair of jeans between us) tomorrow. SO CHEAP! Would move over here if it wasn't for the smell of raw sewage in hotel room.
Must hit pool...and do laundry. Glamorous.
Big wet kisses xxxx
