22/01/2011- THE hottest day so far
Breakfast was a banana pancake served with pineapple and melon, washed down with a fresh orange and coffee. The view was that of a glistening blue sea and a cloudless sky.
Today is saturday, only 4 more days left here and I am saddened by this. on Wednesday morning we are being picked up from our apartment firstt hing and embark on a 24 hour journey to kuala or KL as we backpackers like to call it. For some reason I am not half as excited at this 2nd part iof the journey than I was with the first half. maybe I have come too complacent here is KS. Or maybe because it is the last part of our journey although we still have 4 more countries to go. I cannot even imagine how we will feel when we have to return home.
However, i mustnt dwell on such things as tonight we are meeting up with Sinko and his wife Debbie - an old friend of James's who is holidaying here in Samui. They are staying in my favourite part of the Island in a beautiful resort hotel called Centara Villa's, Laem Na Thian beach and we called in on them the day before. Their's is the quietest beach we have been to so far, with buzzer type gadgets scattered along the shore to call for assistance or a drink from the hotel. Oh how the other live !!

We met at the Duke that evening, all of us sunburnt and no-one but James really up for a drinking session. I had burnt my hands and fingers, the others their torso. The boys caught up whilst we watched the game and i eventually after one drink turned to water. i have been the same for over a fortnight now, managing just 1 drink per night. Whats happeneing!!!!
The rain that we had told Sinko about appeared during the night too. It may stay a few days but I hope we get at least one more sunny day before we go.
